A distinctive and two-piece mug in glass and stainless steel. Perfect for hot beverages, the separation of materials keeps the steel handle cool to the touch.
Imagined after a visit to a local zipper factory, Sarpaneva noticed the intriguing pattern left by in the off-cuts following the sheet steel stamping process that created the small zipper pulls. A design rooted in making use of excess manufacturing waste, with the original production runs in the 50s actually using these zipper off-cuts.
The figure-8 handle is comfortable in hand, with the curves echoes in the concave impression on the glass itself.
A functional and elegant daily mug that embodies a design process that is relevant now more than ever.
