Black [ Trays ] Table by Piero Lissoni for Kartell
Designer: Piero Lissoni
Maker: Kartell [ Italy ]
Year: 2002
Size: L 1400 x W 400 x H 253
Condition Report: Great condition. Chrome is very tidy. Some light surface scratching to the plastic top, very subtle. Reach out for detailed images.
.
Pairing a chromed steel tubular frame with a shallow, high-gloss black top in PMMA, the table is subtly edged like a lacquered serving tray. The reference is deliberate: Japanese tray forms translated into a contemporary, industrial vocabulary.
At 140cm in length, its long, low profile lends itself to linear spaces, anchoring a sofa without visual weight, or sitting comfortably as a console-adjacent surface. The contrast between reflective steel and dense black surface gives it presence without excess.
Minimal, but not anonymous, it’s an easy addition to a range of contemporary spaces.
