White / Grey Trestle Desk by Michael Draper
Designer: Michael Draper - NZ
Maker: Michael Draper - NZ
Year: 1990s
Size: H 720 x D 800 x W 1800
Condition Report: Fair vintage condition. Steel trestle legs in decent shape, some wear inline with age, scuffing and a few rust spots. White laminate tabletop does have some wear to edges and a few dents on the top, as well as a hole drilled for cables. Original steel cross supports included. Reach out for detailed images.
.
An iconic piece of local design, the Michael Draper trestle table has become synonymous with quality New Zealand design and construction. Pioneering high end steel furniture at the end of the 20th Century, his designs are stripped back to their core function and structure.
Grey powder-coated steel trestle legs support a white laminate tabletop, strengthened by steel supports along the tables base that lock everything into place. These supports can easily be removed and attached to a new tabletop should you want to update the original top.
A perfect addition to an office or contemporary home, the understated design offers a near indestructible base to build your workspace around.
NOTE: We do have a second desk available, although this would ideally need a new tabletop. Reach out to discuss if you are interested.
