.

The iconic ‘Moment’ table, produced by Ikea in the 1980s. a real masterclass in durable lightweight construction and simple utilitarian style.

Steel rods act as the core element of the design, with all the fastenings and connections on show. A translucent top highlights this further, with these supports still visible, although blurred, through the frosted glass. Visually the table has an incredible lightness to it, with thin legs and a refined steel edge that is intriguing yet not too dominant within a space.

A generous scale the table is suited for use in a dining setting (comfortably sitting 6, or 8 in a pinch), or as a desk with the lightness of the frame perfectly complimenting a storage unit of shelf tucked under one end.

Vintage or new, let us know if you'd like us to track down another one.
