The DSX chair is a fiberglass dining chair that solved a problem for the Eamses that plywood could previously not. A single continuous curved form that effortlessly shapes to the user. Initially manufactured in fiberglass as seen in this original version, it was more recently switched to polypropylene for environmental reasons.
The Eamses had a unique way of naming each piece of furniture they designed. DSX simplifies the core components of the chair into a simple code. D (dining height) S (side chair) X (X-base).
