White Model '4875' Chair by Carlo Bartolifor Kartell
Designer: Carlo Bartoli
Maker: Kartell [ Italy ]
Year: 1974
Size: H 710 x D 480 x W 440
Condition report: Great vintage condition. Surfaces show light scratching and marking with age. Structurally sound, no cracking or damage to plastic. Reach out for detailed images.
.
The Model 4875 chair, consisting of 5 pieces, was the first chair ever to be commercially produced in Polypropylene.
A continuation of the material experimentation Kartell was so well known for in the 1970s. Not a single piece moulded chair, but instead a playful assembly of the the seat and 4 legs, which simply screw up into the base to give the chair it’s form.
Soft curves and and refined design choices makes this an elegant addition to any space.
