sold out

Designer: Piet Hein & Bruno Mathsson

Maker: Fritz Hansen - Denmark

Year: 1968 (1995 production)

Size: H 700 x D/W 1000

Condition Report: Good vintage condition. Chrome legs in nice shape. Table surface does have some lighter water marks / rings along with some larger scratches. edges have a few dents / scratches. Reach out for detailed images.

.

The Super-Elliptical table was inspired by the designer Piet Hein’s solution to a traffic problem in Stockholm, a super elliptical roundabout. This variation of an oval possessed some attractive qualities and looked surprisingly harmonious no matter the size.

A timeless style in a great compact scale, the table chairs perfectly with Series 7 chairs from Fritz Hansen (we have some available). Lightweight and easy to move, the legs attach with a unique tensioned clasp, meaning they can be removed without undoing any screws. Not a key detail for day to day use, but something subtle to be appreciated.

Vintage or new, let us know if you'd like us to track down another one.
