Tulip Dining Table by Eero Saarinen for Knoll
Designer: Eero Saarinen
Maker: Knoll

Size: D/W 1200 x H 730

.
An enduring icon of mid-century design, the Tulip table was created by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen with the intention of eliminating the “ugly, confusing, unrestful world” beneath traditional tables.
It’s sculptural pedestal base replaces the conventional four legs with a single, elegant column that flows seamlessly into a circular or oval tabletop. The result is a timeless, minimalist form that feels both futuristic and organic.
Crafted with a cast aluminium base and white laminate top, the instantly reconcilable form has inspired countless others since, yet has never been quite matched. Constructed t the highest standard but the licensed manufacturer, Knoll.
