Condition Report: Great vintage condition. Fibreglass seats are are excellent, very minor wear. Steel bases are in good shape, with slight scuffing and paint chipping to the lower edges. Present very nicely for their age and structurally sound. Reach out for detailed images

Drawing inspiration from the classic tulip chairs and table designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll just a few years prior, the desire for a more playful futuristic style of furniture quickly spread to the UK, with Arkana championing this style in the British market in the early days.

With a solid construction of fibreglass and aluminium built to last a lifetime, this pair has aged beautifully with only minor signs of wear over 50 years on.

Claiming the title of the Starship Enterprises dining chair on the 1960s Star Trek TV show, the design has maintained a cult status among collectors ever since.
